One the problems with getting old is you outlive friends, family and life partner. As a result you end up needing to deal with their stuff. I myself am quit the collector of tools, building materials and anything that could possibly be of use at some time in the future or that I think is cool. My father-in-law was of similar mind and when he died of leukemia most of his stuff got incorporated in with my stuff. When my Mother-in-law came down with Alzheimer disease and moved in with us, Trish packed all her house hold goods and most of the furniture into 180 sq. ft. (8 foot deep) of my shop upstairs SW corner (it's still there 15 years later – I actually have no idea what is in all those boxes). Trish passed over 3 years ago and I still have not dealt with all her art & sewing supplies, books, etc., etc. Then recently Margaret (a true blue – worse than you see on TV – hoarder) gave up, committed suicide and left 4 buildings full of good stuff (buried on under tons of garbage) for me to deal with. Just when I was starting to see some hope that I would be able to sell off my Tools-n-Gizmos inventory, complete a few projects and deal with my own stuff before I die.
