The tool post and the No. 2 holder are slightly used. But the other 4 holders and the mounting base are NEW.
I made a sleeve that fits in the tool post and a custom nut, so it fits on the same mounting stud as the 4-way post.
Changing tool posts (Quick-Change vs 4-way) takes about 15 seconds.
With 3/8" tooling you can adjust the holder so the cutting edge is below the work center.
To use 1/2" shank indexable tooling that I had, I milled a bit off the bottom of the tool shank to get the edge to line up.
I mounted a blade in the cut-off holder but as I'm writing this I realize that I have never mounted the cut-off
holder to see if the blade lines up with the center of the work piece. (a task for the new owner)
